Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for both educators and other school personnel alike. No prior knowledge is required.
Please bring a laptop with you, as well as a current school certificate showing your teaching activity (for teacher registration with Canva).

Day 1: Introductions, Expectations, and Ethical Considerations
We'll start the course with an interactive introduction round where you'll have the opportunity to share about yourself and your expectations. Following this, we'll explore the ethical boundaries when using AI and digital tools in the education sector, and analyze relevant case studies that highlight challenges and solution strategies.
Day 2: Fundamentals and Possibilities of ChatGPT in the Classroom
This day is dedicated to ChatGPT and similar AI tools. You'll gain a deep insight into the functionality and practical applications of these technologies in the field of education. The theoretical part will be followed by practical exercises in which you will create your own teaching materials with the help of ChatGPT.
Day 3: Introduction to Canva and the Design of Learning Materials
On the third day, we'll focus on Canva and its possibilities for designing visual learning content. After a basic introduction, you will develop your own learning materials and projects in a workshop that should visually enrich your teaching.
Day 4: Conception and Implementation of a Cultural Educational Excursion with ChatGPT
On this day, you will develop the methodological foundations for planning and conducting an appealing and educational cultural excursion using ChatGPT. You will learn how to use ChatGPT as a versatile tool for researching, thematically designing, and interactively shaping the excursion. We will demonstrate how ChatGPT can support you on site both visually and auditorily (e.g., by generating image descriptions or thematically appropriate illustrations, as well as creating audio guides or thematic background information) to make the excursion an unforgettable experience for your students. Following the theoretical introduction and the practical testing of the ChatGPT functions, we will jointly conduct an excursion to a culturally significant site in Paphos, where you can directly apply what you have learned and gain your own experiences.
Day 5: Creation and Presentation of Teaching Materials with Canva and ChatGPT, Course Conclusion
This day is dedicated to the didactic follow-up of the excursion and the effective use of Canva and ChatGPT to create appealing and informative teaching materials. You will learn how to use ChatGPT to process the content of the excursion, summarize it, and adapt it for various learning formats. Following this, we will show you how to use Canva to create professionally designed presentations that visually appealingly and didactically convey both the results of the excursion and the insights of the entire course. The participants will present their created materials and receive constructive feedback. The course concludes with a summarizing reflection round in which the most important insights and suggestions of the course are taken up again and the participants are encouraged to implement the acquired competencies in their own teaching.
Objectives
The goal of this training is to prepare teachers to effectively and ethically use modern technologies such as AI tools and graphic design software in the educational field. Participants will learn how digital tools can enrich lessons, increase student engagement, and support the teaching process. The course also aims to raise awareness of the ethical aspects of technology use and to equip teachers to navigate and prepare their students for an increasingly digitalized world.
